Bangladesh, one of the world's big potato growers
Bangladesh harvests millions of tonnes of potatoes every year from the fertile soils of Munshiganj, Bogura, Rangpur and Joypurhat. The main harvest runs from February to April, and cold storage lets us supply for most of the year.
Our team selects potatoes that are firm, smooth-skinned and free from greening, cuts and disease. They are graded by size, packed in mesh or jute bags and loaded into pre-cooled reefer containers so they arrive in good condition.
Potato varieties we supply
Diamond
Yellow-skinned, oval potatoes with light yellow flesh. Bangladesh's leading export variety.
Granola
Round to oval, yellow flesh, good for boiling and everyday cooking.
Cardinal
Red-skinned potatoes with cream flesh, popular in Gulf and Asian markets.
Asterix & others
Red-skinned processing types and other varieties on request.
